Alright, who has one (or two) of these boards, and what are your thoughts on them? I'm looking for some first hand experience here comparing the various vendors, as I can't find anything useful on their sites. And not just the cards themselves, but what else came with them that you like (software, swag, etc.). I know that Anandtech is doing their own comparison, but at the rate their going, the 7800 is going to be a full generation back before they are finished.

Thanks guys.

I agree with both those posts.

It would be BFG for me unless I could find a Gainward Golden Sample for near the same price.

Just read Anand's review of the new EVGA 7800 KO board, and while there's the edge in performance, it mostly the warranty that I like. Nearly unlimited lifetime, so long as you don't do something stupid like take a hammer to the thing? Could really give it the edge.

I just got a refund on an EVGA for two reasons. One is that it was buggy as hell with my plasma and the other is that I have been hearing about shitty little stunts they have been pulling lately. Not honoring rebates and being hard to deal with on RMA's. BFG is the way to go, and its got a lifetime warranty.

Well like emogoch stated they now have almost unlimited lifetime on eVga cards,k as long as there's no physical damage thhey *should* honor it... That sounds good, but I did hear a few stories about them too!

Check this thread out to see how the [H] community is going gung-ho on BFG with their service and lifetime warranty. Pretty cool to see a BFG rep happen to jump in (or maybe Kyle notified him).

Im afraid that we are seeing a possible trend start to emerge. It seems like it is becoming more common.
