I'm in the market for a Bluetooth and Qwerty keyboard equipped phone. I'm
not interested in PDA functionality.

The only 2 candidates that come to mind are the Blackberry 7290 and the Moto
a630.

Can anyone tell me how well the BB 7290 fairs on the Fido network? -
especially since Fido does not support the BB network and one would have to
resort to using GPRS for data instead.

Any feedback on the a630 would also be greatly appreciated.

(please reply to group)

The last time I popped my Fido SIM in an unlocked Blackberry, the phone
worked but there was new capability to send/receive email.
