Go to the Nvidia options panel
Go to Color Correction
Set the 'Apply color changes to:' on 'All' instead of 'Desktop'

worked for me =}

I had a similar problem with the most recent drivers. It's most likeley cause by the fact that the drivers crank the gamma up to 6.0 by default.

Open up your nividia control panel, go to color correction, then click "Overlay" from the drop-down box in the top left, then finally click "Advanced Mode" option in the bottom left box. That should reset the gamma back to 1.0
