3dMark 2001 SE: 6225 3D Marks

83.9 fps, 32.5 fps, 30.4 fps, 30.7 fps, 47.4 fps, 10.6 fps, 2141.8 MTexels/s, 2143.1 MTexels/s, 18.7 fps, 77.9 fps, 26.5 fps
3dMark 2005: 2892 3D Marks (2647 CPU Score)
Detailed:

--------

Turned Hypterthreading and Fastwrites back on
(I was told to try turning that off...)

3dMark 2001 SE: 15735 3D Marks
*cough*
used my comp for 20 hours or so, ran it again, 13098 3D Marks...
ran it again... 13443
and again... 13356
3dMark 2003: 6467
Detailed:
190.4 fps, 41.9 fps, 38.1 fps, 44.8 fps 62.9 fps, 11 fps, 2493.7 MTexels/s, 3264.6 MTexels/s, 23 fps, 102 fps, 30.1 fps
used my comp for another 48 hours, got 2001 and 2003 tests done... they were a bit higher, like 144XX and 67XX, then while running 2005 I got blue screen: IRQL_LESS_OR_NOT_EQUAL (or something similar to that :)
and then booting up: "Windows - Registry Recovery: One of the files containing the system's Registry data had to be recovered by use of a log or alternate copy. The recovery was sucessful."
*sigh*, well, anyways, I disabled HT and Fastwrites because Everquest 2 was unplayable, but it stayed that way, AND other games went to unplayable status too... (I mean, you cant tell me 6225 marks in 2001 SE is good for a 6800?. 15000 sounds more like it...)

I'm putting this to rest and just blaming Sony for a shitty game

Thanks for listening,
Sentenza

Those scores suck. You should be approaching 18,000 in 3dMark 01, and about 8000 in 3dMark 03.

Do you have AA turned on in the driver panel? Because that will really cock it up.

Ok, ran 2001 again, this time 1600x1200x32, 4xAA and triple buffering ... 9180 3D Marks

or was that a different driver panel you were talking about? I also upped the agp aperture size to 256mb

ran it again with default settings: 14925...
ran it again, changed only 4 x AA (since thats the only thing you actually talked about): 13220...

Edit:
oh, now I just got what you meant with the AA in driver panel.. no, its all on default, no AA forced...
Edited by Sentenza on 08/10/05 07:09 PM.

Well, if it aint the videocard, instabilities can sometimes cause systems to hiccup...

My 6800 Ultra topped out at 9000 in 3dMark 03 and I couldn't figure out why, then I went in the BIOS and changed an ambiguous "Memory timing" setting from "Agressive" to "Normal" and Voila!...
I went from 9000 to 14000 in 3dMark 03 instantly.

If it's overheating a bit you might get something like this, too. Or maybe you have a bunch of TSRs running in the background eating resources...

if youre running evrything on default@stock keep on trying the latest drivers to avoid stuff like the temp/throttle/fan bugs...etc.
