I've got a 25K7191 chassis and I wanted to replace the flyback, caps,
and HOT. I got a K7000 repair kit from Bob Roberts. I'm noticing that
the flyback is different from the one on my board.. The original one
has two high tension wires coming from the anode cap.. One goes to the
flyback and the other goes to what looks like a large capacitor. Upon
further examination, it looks like the pins on the flyback are not in
the same position as the original. I'd have to mount it so that the
adjustment knobs point inward.. That can't be right! Did I order the
wrong kit?

Ok well now I KNOW I have the wrong flyback.. The one on the board has
three extra connections to the board! Now that I have the old one out,
I can see that the replacement wouldn't fit anyway. What do I need to
ask for to get a suitable replacement?

You have the Zenith-built model k7000A. There is no replacement flyback
available for that chassis. You're screwed!

If your picture tube is the small diameter (22.5 mm, a.k.a. the 8-pin
version) neck then you can buy one of those "universal" replacement
chassis made by Wei-ya and sold by Alva Amusement
(http://yp.bellsouth.com/sites/alvaamusement/). You'd need the "1220S"
chassis which directly replaces yours.

My mistake, I see that you have the 25" chassis. Use # WY826HR chassis
to replace yours instead of the other one I mentioned previously.

Are you sure your old flyback is pooched? I just capped my 19"
Zenith-built WG with a K7000 cap kit from BR and now she works like a
champ. If you don't *need* to replace the flyback, you should still be
able to get it to work fine with the other available replacement parts.
But, yeah, there is NO replacement flyback for the Zenith-built WG's.
Don't worry, you can probably sell that new flyback you have on eBay
and make your money back.

Umm...... haha.. anyone want a paperweight then? I broke a pin off the
flyback as I was removing it last night!
