Overheating Graphic Card?

Will awhile back I bought me a new X800 XL card to replace my old 9800pro. As I do with every new card install I formated my PC to make sure nothing would mess up the new install. I had all the latest drives already pre downloaded on my Slave drive so the whole install went smoothly. After playing BF2 for a few hours i noticed that some of the textures went black on some of the terrain on the map, and then when the next map would load my system would crash. Sometimes I was able to alt+tab out and end BF2 but if i tried to go back in the textures would be messed up or it would crash. I would have to reboot the PC to clear it out. I thought it was a faulty card so i went ahead and returned it at the store i bought it and got the same card again. But still after about a few hours of playing the same problem would arise. Sometimes i would get the "graphic snag" thing were it would snag on your crosshairs. I tried the latest drives and reverted to some old ones I had but still the same problem would arise. So I went ahead and switched out the card for a 6800GT and again did a fresh windows install. This card lasted abit longer but after awhile it would still lock up or do the texture thing. I do notice that when i do have my case open that alot of times it will work fine, but it will still crash on some occations. I have an Antec case with 4 case fans, 1 in the front blowing in behind the HD's, 1 on the side blowing in directly on the graphics card and 2 on the rear blowing out. This is not including the CPU fan or PSU fan. If it is an overheating problem can it happen on 3 cards? Any help would be appericiated. Oh and by the way nothing is overclocked, and everything is running on stock cooling. As far as getting actual Temp readings I do not know how to get them for a Graphics card, if there is a program of something i can do or use i will gladly get you guys the readings.

System Spec's:

3200+ 64bit Newcastle
Asus K8V SE Deluxe
BFG 6800 GT - Drives: 77.72
1 gig Memory (Memtest86 shows no errors)
Antec 430watt Truepower PSU
Antec Case (the old alienware one)

Thanks in advance.

o and 77.72 might cause problems as well, try to use the driver that came with your card or 77.77 (BETA). I'd try cd driver first though....

OR BF2 could be bad?

AMD A64 3200+Venice
DFI Lanparty UT NF4 Ultra-D
OCZ 2x512mb EL Gold VX PC3200 ram 3-3-3-8
evga eGeforce 6800GT 256mb GDDR3 ram
Enermax 485W PSU
Bios 3/10
WIndows XP SP2
No OC

Not picking on you, but the number of good components that get RMA'd because of other issues, must drive the manufacturers crazy. I wonder how many cards are getting RMA'd each day for BF2 problems.

Hehe, actually I bought the cards at Best Buy as I get an employee discount there. The cards were like 300 bucks before this lates price drop. Man it would be a pain if I had to RMA all those cards. One thing that I would like to note is that I also get glitches in Painkiller as well, that one mainly just freezes or the game just closes by itself. I don't belive it is game specific. Is there any program out there were I can check my graphics card temp's?

Thanks for the help.

You can check the core temp of you 6800GT right through the NV drivers.
