Video chops after 2 mins of gameplay

Hey all, my problem is this. Any game I play (World of warcraft, BF2, CS:S ect) will run great for about 1 min or so of gameplay, then my framerate crashes through the floor. just did a clean reinstall of windows the other day, so i'm fairly sure it's a hardware issue. Specs are as follows


Abit IS7
P4c 2.4, normally at 3 but unclocked it for this (stock cooling)
9700 non pro
ect ect

Do you get artifacts (snow, jagged lines/polygons, etc), or does it just go slow?

How are your temps? Has it always done this or has it just started happening? Maybe your CPU fan has just died? Sounds like something like that.
