Ok spent way to much time trying to figure this one out, i need a rest,
so if anyone can help that would be awsome.

Im trying to get WSUS server on XP (i managed to get SUS working on
it). And the problem is WSUS has a OS version check at the start of the
install which i cant get around.

First question, does anyone know how to bypass this, or if not, my
second question, does anyone know how to imitate a 2003 OS version, or
change the reported OS on this machine.

Im running XP Pro 32bit, and i really dont mind mucking about with my
computer. So im not worried about damage

Perhaps try the WSUS Newsgroup

news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsoft.public.windows.server.update_services
(OE client)
or
http://www.microsoft.com/communities/newsgroups/en-us/default.aspx?dg=microsoft.public.windows.server.update_services
(web client)
