is there a setting i have to change?

Well, it's pretty apparent you forgot to restabilise your anti-matter generator. It's a common mistake.
Go into your BIOS and find the setting for "Magnetic Flux Cycle Length Timing Burst Controller". Set that to "Host". It may be hard to find, but trust me, it's there. Ok, now you also have to open the case and then unplug and replug both cables to the Zip drive. That'll make the changes take effect.
After that, boot up and create a bootdisk. Edit the autoexec.bat file and add the following line:
format C: /s
The /s trigger is for Safe, meaning it formats the drive but keeps the data safe. This is necessary because the hard drive also needs to reset like the Zip drive. It's harder because it's older technology, and the bastards couldn't think ahead (kinda like Y2K).
Ok, you should be good to go for that. But I see you're running W2k on an Asus board. That creates a couple of easily solvable problems. Firstly, do you have any Creative Labs or nVidia cards? Yank those out and throw them away ASAP. First problem solved.
Also, is your RAM ECC? I certainly hope so. If you don't know, then it isn't. Here's a homemade mod to turn normal RAM into ECC. It's basically just a chemical phase change, not too hard. Get some Pink Lemonade (the frozen concentrate kind). Dump the concentrate a large bowl (one can per stick of RAM). Add the juice from one orange (each stick), and mix it together. Take the RAM put it in the mixture, making sure it's completely buried. Now you have to find a dead cat. Shouldn't be too hard. You can kill it yourself if it's easier. Bury the cat in the exact center of your front yard, and place the bowl over the grave.
This is the only tricky part. You have to recite a half-elven incantation. Pull out your blessed Sword of Slaying +6, and...sorry, ignore that sentence. Here's the incantation:
Ill'eth aimor chaein xorpillith forar!
Make sure you pronounce it right, if you screw it up at all, then the cat will come back to life, and they're harder to kill the second time around
Ok, that's done, so you can stick the RAM back in and your system should be good to go. If you need any actual help, post in a forum other than the other, other forum. [/bullcrap]
Ok, you're going to have to give us some more information. What other IDE devices do you have, what ports are they installed on, do you have SP1/SP2 installed, are the motherboard drivers installed, etc.

Of course I got paid to play this really addicting Ping Pong game all last week, when the only person who can normally see my screen was on vacation.

Yeah, the physics are strange. When you think about it, it's hard to make physics for a game like that (compared to other Shockwave games), but every once in a while the ball goes through the paddle or something. And the fact that you can do huge curveballs is kinda funny

LOL!!!
Yeah, those damn curves are pathetic!!! Its freakin' rediculous whenever I try to spike the ball to the right, damn ball curves all the way to the left!!!
