Aspire 1825 PTZ won't boot- shuts down right after starting up

Hi there,

I've got a weird problem. My Aspire 1825 PTZ doesn't boot up when I press the power button. It just starts and then shuts down randomly. Sometimes even the BIOS screen doesn't show up. After a lot of trying(20-40 times), sometimes it starts. *The problem first occurred after installing Windows 8 consumer preview. After that I rolled the notebook back to factory settings with Win 7; but the problem prevails.

I've searched a lot of posts and tried different things(e.g: reset to factory settings, updating bios.....)- nothing worked. Probably there's a problem with the processors temperature sensor- I'm not sure though.

I've found a pretty similar problem in this post: http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/81096-35-acer-aspire-...

There the solution was to wrap the notebook in a plastic bag and freeze it. I haven't tried it. Can I actually freeze a notebook @ -12*C? :??:

Thanks in advance for help....
