Internet Expolorer gives error - ASUS Laptop

Hello,
I bought a BRAND NEW ASUS high-end Laptop (Windows7) and when I go to Internet Explorre, from day one it is giving me error "Internet Explorer has stopped working. Windows is checking for a solution to the problem", option buttons seen are "Debug" and "Close program". I always select the "Close program" option and this error message box is cleared. The IE works OK after I have closed off the error message box. I went through the Out-Of-Box steps and created the Factory Image DVD's as instructed before I did anything. How do I get rid of this error message?

Sadly Internet Explorer has the dubious honor of being a magnet for malware, so it's difficult to say for sure if that isn't the issue. To test, try downloading a copy of Firefox or Chrome (or both), and see if the problem persists with that browser.
