Speaking in a technical way wouldn't this be true?

If all GTX are the same base speeds (400mhz core, 1.2gig ram) then wouldn't it be true that if I bought the lowest factory OCed card (since I haven't seen any that aren't pre-OCed) to save cash and did the OCing myself I could get any of the cards to reach the 490 core speed/ 1.3gig mem clock of the eVGA KO ECS. The ONLY difference will be that whichever card I buy I would viod warrenty by OCing where the eVGA factory setting will be warrentied?

You are right but some manufacturers cards are more tolerant than others so choose wisely. You wouldn't want to fry it.
