I have an old Funland pinball game that I have had for about 20 years.
I'm finally ready to start fixing it up but I don't know how to change
the lightbulbs under the playing surface.
The sockets for the lights look to have all the wiring soldered in
place and I can't take the light bulbs out with them in place since the
bulbs are so close to the top that they won't come out.

replace them from the playing field side, remove any plastics that maybe
covering the bulb.

In some underplayfield lights that are under inserts, you can often
just bend the lamp socket back far enough to change the bulb. Not sure
which type bulbs you are talking about.

Take the plunger(shooter) rubber off & use it to place on top the bulbs
to get a better grip & avoid any weak or broken bulbs from cutting your
fingers. just an old school trick. fred
