Greeting,

i was heard a lot that Intel HD Graphics are not so powerful to run a game. but there is a question about it, is that real????
i mean Intel HD Graphics really cannot display a game smoothly?

i want to buy a Fujitsu Lifebook AH530 with an Intel HD Graphics on it (4gb Ram, core i3) is this laptop capable of run any game like call of duty? (NOT with the highest resolution)

More about : intel graphics games

Intel graphics really suck in gaming. But, still you can play games on your laptop in low resolution and lower settings.
For true gaming you need a discrete graphic card.

I played csgo with low settings on 1920x1080 on intel 4000 with about 40 fps. With my 7870 I get around 175 fps. That should answer your question.

yup. but it'll do fine on previous gen games like the Call Of Duty 1, CS 1.6, Starcraft 1.

Capable, probably. Would it run well? Probably not.

just look for games than an AMD 5450 will max out and you'll be fine . . .

I've played Fallout 3 and Mass Effect 3 using the Intel HD 3000 in my laptop. The games are playable at 1366x768. A mix of low & medium settings for Fallout 3 and I believe the lowest settings for Mass Effect 3. I was able to finish ME3 on Insanity difficulty.

While not as "fun" as playing with the dedicated nVidia GT 550m, the Intel HD 3000 is capable of playing not very demanding games as long as you expectations are relatively low. The current Intel HD 4000 is about 35% more powerful than the Intel HD 3000.

Hmmm...

Looking at the specs of your Lifebook AH530, it seems it is using the 1st generation Core i3 CPU. That means it has the older Intel HD graphic core, let's just call it the "Intel HD 1000". That is a weak graphics card. It's probably has round 33% the performance of the Intel HD 3000 which means it is even weaker than the current Intel HD 4000.

I would look at some old non demanding games from like 2006 or before. I don't even know if it is powerful enough for the Sims 2. Probably is, but not quite sure.
