WRT54G Connection Type reverts to Default Settings

(I have to type this message quickly before my wireless router
disconnects)

Has anyone out there with the WRT54G wireless router experienced this
issue?

Quite often the 'Internet Connection Type' in the 'Basic Setup' area
will revert back to the default settings. The settings I use are
PPPoE. As you can see, defaulting would affect my Internet service.
Tech support suggested resetting the router and reflashing the ROM;
both suggestions were useless.

(Yes, I do save my settings before leaving setup.)

Has anyone else out there experienced this problem??? (and found a
solution?)
