Graphics Card Died

Argh! I was in the middle of a game of Homeworld 2 online and BAM - the screen goes really funny and then my system crashes.

Upon reboot I get really bad corruption and can't get past windows :frown: . My old 5600 works fine, so it is definatly my 6800.

Problem is any RMA I get will have the pipelines cut, so good bye 16 / 6 unlocked core :frown:

ned dont worry i recieved a xfx and i wondered if i would lose the extra 4 piplines but i was wrong it fully unlocked its only been 4 weeks but it OC better than the galaxy.

I had the exact same thing happen with the 6600GT of theirs. sent it in for RMA. took 3 months but I finally got a replacement.

they sent me a BFG 6600GT OC instead though... so i guess i lucked out

Well, I've been informed under good old UK law, I can still sent it back to the retailer and get a replacement direct from them.

Dang, I've now had to send back 2 6800's to them.

And I have some ancient PCI rage card around here somewhere...
