OK I'm getting a 3200+ Venice soon with 1 GIG ram probably with SATA or SATA II and I'm looking for a GFX card. I got a few questions:

1) ATi or NVidia? I know the 7800 is a [-peep-] bomb but it's way overpriced. ATi X850 also.

2)I'm not looking for the latest card that's gonna be, in 3 months down to 50% of it's current price. A decent, slightly above average card, will be good for me. Maybe planning to play BF2 but not that sure.

Should I buy a Vid card / year at mainstream performance or one crazy ass 500$ card that's gonna last who knows how long?

Currently watching over the GF6 6600 GT, GF6 6800 or ATi X800LT.

Thanks

It's up to you. I have a x800xl and it's a great card but sometimes when I'm playing BF2 I wish I had something better. Either way unless you want to bust the bank wide open I'd stick to this card. It's a good deal.
