Has anyone here experianced playing Battlefield 2 with the X800GT?... I was looking at getting a 6600GT, 1 gig corsair value, AMD 643000+. I was about to buy it all last night, and saw a deal for the X800GT, which I didn't even know existed. Did a little research, found some benchmarks, almost all saying it beats the 6600GT. With AA/AF enabled in the games, it nearly doubled the framerate. I would like to know if anyone has this card, played it with BF2, and what your system specs were (and what you had the graphics set at, resolution)

Thanks in advance.

The X800GT and the 6600GT both have 8 pipelines, but the X800GT has *twice* the memory bandwidth because of it's 256-bit memory interface (vs the 6600GT's 128-bit memory interface)

I haven't seen any benches of the two on BF2 specifically, but really, the X800 is a better buy plain and simple.

Even better is a cheap X800 vanilla which has 12 pipelines, as well as the 256-bit interface... if you can afford one of those, forget the GTs.

How much are you spending? I think ATI may still have X800 Pros refurbished (with a 3 year warranty) on their site for $179. I got my X800XT PE there for $220 before they ran out.
