Hello

I am intrigued by the Speech icon in Control Panel. What can I do with
this? Can I for example get the system to 'speak' my emails?

I was looking at the requirements and it looks like at least Office XP
version is required. But then it mentioned Internet Explorer. Can you
confirm whether or not I need Office XP or higher to install the speech
engine?

Angus,

I apologize. I forgot that Speech Recognition wasn't actually part of
Windows XP.

You have to have at least Word 2002 or Office XP.

Or you have to have a 3rd party program like Dragon NaturallySpeaking.

ScanSoft - Dragon NaturallySpeaking 8
