Looking to upgrade son's system. While realizing the system is dated, I don't want to spend more then $200. The FX5200 looks to be the most outdated component. System used for games, TV/video capture and word. Any advise would be appreciated.

I'd say a 6600GT would work nicely with that setup...

Wow, an FX5200? Those were probably the worst bargain in video cards, easily 4x the price they should have been.

The power supply should be fine. Basically the 6600GT and 6800 are pretty close in gameplay. In Half Life 2, the two cards are within 5%. If given the choice, I would get the 6800. But if you want to save some bucks, the 6600GT will do fine also. Basically the 6800 has a slower clock speed than the 6600GT, but it makes up for it in pipelines. The 6600GT has 8, the 6800 has 12.
