Hello, I have a XFX GeForce FX5600 128MB, I'm using a 17" CRT monitor 1024x768@85Hz (WinXP Pro SP2, ForceWare: 71.84). I can prove through the OSD it has a vertical refresh rate of 84.9Hz. But whenever I use 3D apps (games) such as GTA3, my monitor OSD shows a vertical refresh rate of 59.7Hz

I want to know if this is normal, or if there is some driver/setting issue. I know I have an old card (promtly looking for an upgrade maybe 6600GT), but I'm sure I must be able to get 1024x768@85Hz while playing some games.

I would appreciate any help,
Astaroth.

I'm pretty sure that's a WinXP issue. You should be able to fix it by downloading and running 'reforce'...try HERE

w00t - I have that card, can't wait until my 6800 is RMA'd though

Thank you very much spitoon, indeed it was a winxp issue as you thought it was. I downloaded the reforce app and it solved my problem.
Its good to play @ 85Hz.
