fro some games and applications you have to roll back, because some of the added functionality actual broke some of the old stuff, usually not a graphics issue as most people/companies simply update to new compatible video drivers unless it's very old hardware, however in other areas like the audio side of things things, sometimes people are stuck with the old DX.

I still play some old games that need DirectX 3, oh yeah.

Some people are like slinkies....
Not really good for anything but you cant help smile when you see one tumble down the stairs.
