Free toshiba recovery cd download C655D-S5511

had a computer crash dump then black screen asking for a boot disk...so please tell me what to do as its still under warranty and would cost to send it back to the manufacturer...thank you..

You should have made the disks upon first boot of the system. If you don't have them then you need to work with Toshiba. We can't get you the disks.

Hi, Try pressing and holding the 0 key while powering up the notebook. See if the recovery process will start.

Well I am still learning and thank God I have my old computer..I never had a boot disk with this either...and its a Dell and is 6 yrs old..BTW I am almost 74 yrs young lol..

Nope Nothing works and now it has a crackling sound??? It crashed!!

Then RMA-ing it is the only option.

Yup. If it's under warranty go ahead and RMA it with the manufacturer. When they repair it or replace it, first thing make a couple backup disks. Put them somewhere they won't get scratched or ruined ;) .
