Hello!
When trying to run disk error checker (after restart) I'm receiving an error
somethign to the effect of: Cannot open volume, disk checker stopping.
I was able to succesfully run the checker before, but not now. Any
suggestions on how to fix this? Or, what to do next?
Thanx a million!!

Try this from the command prompt...
chkdsk <drive>: /f /r /x
For instance if it's the C drive you can just ignore the <drive>: part...
But if it's a different drive then chkdsk d: /f /r /x
/r implies /f but use it anyhow... /x will force it to dismount the drive
first.
It should ask you if you want to schedule it for next boot, do so. Reboot.
Get a cup of coffee.
