I need advice on whether to purchase the X700 256MB card or the 128MB version of the X700Pro.

1)Will the extra 128MB make a difference?
2)Which card would last me longer in terms of features/power?

Thanks in advanced!

I'm leaning towards the 256MB card because cards are coming with more and more memory as times goes on. However, I noticed the benchmarks are better for the 128 Pro card because of higher clock speeds. Which should I choose?

1) No

2) Clock speeds are more important that memory amount

Although in that price range, you should be looking at the X800GT or Geforce 6600GT, not the X700 PRO.

The X700 is comparatively weak compared to those cards, and not much cheaper. If longevity is what you're looking for, the X700 PRO is not the card to buy.

x700 is clocked at 400/266
x700 pro is clocked at 425/430
From the reviews I've read it makes sense to go with the x700 Pro. The difference in memory won't matter at all.
