disable card?

Can a ge froce 6600gt card be disabled by software? I disabled it through device manager but the fan still runs which is one reason I want to disable it (except for the occasions I am using it for video editing and viewing recorded TV).

If you disable the card, you wont have a monitor output

I assume you mean the cards fan. It's there for a reason.

I have Intel's graphics on the motherboard that I can use for the monitor. I want to disable the 6600 and fan without opening the case.

sorry there is no way to stop ur fan without opening the case with ur stock fan.
