Looking at the new ATi X1800 benchmarks and im sort of disapointed and let down - its late, its sitting where all other radeon's sit vs'ing nvidia cards at the time (eg poor at doom3, good at half life 2), its 512-bit "token ring" mem controller should give it a large edge on nvidia and its 256-bit mem controller standards, they did an intel "more clock speed is better" and raised the power consumption and heat output a little in the process and its only a paper launch - what happend to ATi?
On the other hand its kind of impressive they got a 16 pipeline card to get to a 24 pipeline card.
ATI brought to the table similiar features nV already had, but did so in different approaches that overall increased efficiency.
the r520 was optimized for shader efficiency, as well, and right now most games are simply more pixel power dependant. The transition is happening, though, when you look at upcoming game titles, and I am confident that's where/when the x1800 series will truly shine.
Hey Fockhead, your the one posting CRAP, im just pointing it out. I dont think that you have the facts straight. The other problem with your post is that there still is alot of speculation with these cards. Next week when people start to get the cards in their system and report in on them we will get a better picture of what is what.
PS: [-peep-] you!

Mozz, be nice...He can't help it if what he is copying and pasting from shittty sources and pasting here as his own words is stupid. he just chose the wrong place to steal from...its happened to the best of us..lol
or maybe he just couldn't find any werbsite at all to read about the "launch". I mean you have to see where he is comming from, only 100+ websites did a full coverages of the "launch" thats not nearly enough for someone to read about it.
I see we have favortism on both sides here of the GPU camp. I like nVIDIA and am a fanboy. Could never bring myself to buy ATI for some reason. Maybe because they suck oh just kidding, just my personal taste and what I'm familar with.
