Lets start with the machine on location:
One long beep followed by 2 quick short ones. NOTHING on the monitor.
Steering wheel does the "centering thing" and dash lights flash. That's
it. No sound upon coin up, nothing.
Pulled the computer & took it to the shop. Hooked a computer monitor
directly to the computer. Same thing. One long beep followed by 2 quick
short ones, still nothing on the monitor. (Note: These are very loud
beeps)
Removed the original video card from the computer & put in one from one
of my computers and look here: No more beeps (other than the quiet ones
you normally hear when a computer comes on) and now, on the monitor is
a boot up sequence, followed by the Intel Motherboard screen, followed
by more boot up instructions that comes to a halt with:
Loading application Hydro.EXE...Done
Transfering control to user program.
Warning. Kernel.346510: Embedded keyboard initizilation returned
failure.
Swapping to host console.

and it just continually beeps 6 beeps, 6 beeps, 6 beeps, over and over.

Now I did some research on the web about computer "beeps". I found that
the bios will, in fact, beep one long beep, followed by 2 quick short
beeps, as the signal for a bad video card.
Now based upon all of these things, I believe that I have a dead video
card. These cards are hard to find and expensive when you can. So IF
ANYONE out there can tell me how to fix this without spending 6 months
worth of the machines revenue... Please, please do. I am getting ready
to order this card as it it far and above the most popular of 14
machines in this location, and the location owner wants it fixed NOW!
(As do I, of course)
ANY AND ALL ASSISTANCE IS GREATLY APPRECIATED!
Thanks again, Dean (RSDA)

We have had that same problem on ours here , The driver board on the
right side had a drink spilled on it. Check for a liquid spill or a
blown fuse on the driver board.
If the driver board does not communicate with the computer it will not
boot

Is this a common problem then? I was thinking of adding a pair to the home
arcade. Thoughts? I have a Rush the Rock Alcatraz pair and a Daytona Twin.
Recommendations?
