Access Denied cannot install hardware

Hello,

I tried to update the video drivers for my Compaq NW8000. The drivers are
for an ATI Fire GL T2 mobility card.

I am on Windows XP SP2 with the latest updates.

The files seem to copy over but then the installation process stops.

I tried updating them via the device manager. Same error. I looked at the
registry permission. I am an administrator and the administrator hav
read/write access to the registry. I logged in as the "real" administrator.
Same problem.

Anyone have any ideas?
