I have my power button option set to go into standby mode when
pressed, but occassionally, it powers down completely. There seems to
be no rhyme or reason to why it does this sometimes. Can anyone give
me an idea?

Thanks!

You BIOS is not working with the XP "ACPI". You probably need a better version of the BIOS.
