Just upgraded from the X700(Powercolor R41AB-ND3)non-pro,which was a Good card and very overclockable, but I HAD TO TURN IT UP A NOTCH!
X800XL now sits in my PCI-e slot.
What a difference!
SIMS 2 runs wonderfully w/ smooth edges on.
Surprisingly, NFS Underground still a dog with everything on. Take it off and the car is so fast I can't steer.Wow.
(It may be me, but does that game need a patch?)
Overall this is just what I wanted.
Tapping 10,800 in 3d mark '03 I hope that's good enough to put in here. Don't laugh.
I don't claim any honors, I just want a Fast Machine.
Any suggestions to OC this monster?
I Have ATI tool, but want to know what other X800XL users are
pushing their cards to.
(ATI Tool:x800xl =260fps. 3d image as opposed to 84fps on x700!)

He simply doesn't want to break it. You don't care since you stole your card.

Thats was my card at one time. It would OC really well but not all XLs will do this. If you can get anywhere close to these clocks then you have a very fast XL. It will require temps around 10 to 13C or you can forget reaching clocks this high. At one time it was the fastest XL that hadnt been volt modded in the ORB.

clocks were 474/606

I pushed it up to 436/500 before the core started getting yellow shreds in ATI Tool. I backed off to 425/510....the memory seems to want to go higher, but I don't think I'll chance it.
This one has Infineon 2.0ns
Don't know if that's a lame chip or not?
This board is 'straight from mama' so it's the Built By ATI
card.
It's identical to Connect 3D model,(No designs on fan/housing)just plain with ATI label on fan, but 'Foxconn'
marked on the DV port.
so who exactly builds it is anyones guess.
I really think the card kicks ass, so I'm OK with it.

The most important thing is your satisfaction so I would say that you have got one Kick Arse Card. Your memory will probably go higher but if your happy with it then leave it where it is. BTW, when your trying to find your max clocks, do each one seperately. Find out how far each will go before artifacts then put them together.
