My brother had a system crash. He reformatted his hardrive and
reinstalled Windows Xp. Only problem is the monitor is an Envision and
the system is a Dell. It is only displaying in 16 bits. I went to
Envisions site and downloaded the driver but it’s not really a driver,
it’s just a text document. I also tried going into the
display/monitor options and it won’t allow me to go into the
properties. It also says something about NO Plug and play.

The graphics card is installed else he would not be able to plug the Monitor
in...but
The drivers for the Graphics card do not seem to be installed which can be
found on the CD that came with the Dell or on the Dell website. On The
Envision website you need to find the .ICM file that will tell XP about your
monitor and its capabilities.

Thanks so much. You were correct and the drivers were not installed.
I would never have figured it out. Thanks again.
