I was having hard disk problems and couldn't
boot win 98 so I reformated the c: drive to FAT32
using PartitionMagic 8. Backed up all user files first.
Tried to re-install win 98 using the original cd-rom.

1. Using a standard win 98 boot disk with cd-rom support:
Starts : Oak Technologies ...etc,
Device Name : MSCD001
then stops.

2. Boot using win 98 cd-rom with cd-rom support:
Starts : Oak Technologies ...etc,
Device Name : OEMCD001
then stops.

3. Do I need the original boot disk that came with the Dell?
If so where can I get one or is there some kind person
out there who can send me one or e-mail me one as an attatchment?

Thanks in advance,

jozien
