new graphics card

I just got a VisionTek Radeon 9600 XT XTASY 256MB AGP video card and I wanted to know if it was a good card or not. I only paid $73.00 for it I have seen it retail as high as $206.00. Does anyone have this card and if any what kind of problems have you had with it. Just a question so I know what to expect.

considering the price it is not a bad buy and visiontek ati (**even if i am a nvidia fan**) is a reliable and no problem product but do not expect great perf.

Yes at 199.99$ the 9800 is more expensive but more durable solution.

You could've done markedly better to be sure, ask first next time...

But you also could've done alot worse. It should server you with decent performance, but you'll definitely be severely limited in newer titles, and forced to run at much lower resolutions that if you'd consulted us first.

[Crashman]

It was a solid midrange card a year ago. The price you paid is reasonable. It beats a lot of newer budget cards, such as the 6200 and X300
