Anyone go to the auction Saturday? Any results for us to read? I
couldn't make this one but I am gonna try to make the November 12th
auction. Thanks for any info.

I was wondering the same thing. Couldn't justify the $80 or so it
would've cost me bring the truck over from Pittsburgh... hopefully gas
prices will be more reasonalble in Nov. I wonder what I could fit in my
wife's Saturn....

Prices were astonishingly low....$275 for a working Stargate comes to
mind immediately. I picked up an incredibly nice Irish Battlezone
caberet for $150.
USAA did change their policies regarding buyers premiums though. There
is now a 15% premium, and a 5% discount for cash.

What does that mean? I pay 15% more than the price that I agreed to
bid? Discount for cash-that's interesting. I thought everyone dealt
with cash at the auctions. Must be alot of credit card buyers. I
went to the Toledo auction once, but that was about it and then they
stopped going there altogether.
I was glad I didn't bid on anything as I found out later you had to
initially register to be a bidder. Didn't know that. You can tell I
don't go to many auctions

No, no charge for a bidder number. The payment fees seems to be the
same as Super Auctions. My question is, how is that legal? How can you
charge a premium on something you buy at an agreed price?

Adding a buyer's premium is usually a sign that there has been a
consistent trend of significantly lower selling prices on games for
this auctioneer. They are trying to make up that revenue (previously
only a seller's fee) by charging both the seller and the buyer
premiums.

The part that is "illegal" is giving a lower price for cash purchases.
It's not actually illegal, but if VISA/Mastercharge found out they were
doing it, they would cancel their merchant account pretty darn quickly.
