I have a Defender cab that was converted over to some garbage game.I
need a shelf for my stereo equip. ,so i thought about gutting it and
putting shelves in it and some new sideart.Anyone ever done this
before? I need some ideas

I thought people got mad when "classic" cabs got gutted. I have been
receiving bad press because I converted a Tron into a MAME machine.
(And before you start again, I was young and didn't know any better.)
Is turning a Defender into a shelving unit more acceptable? Maybe
Defender isn't as "classic" as Tron? I would rate both games as high.

I have a friend who is a Battlezone nut. I also have an extra BZ cabinet
with the full plastic front. The bottom took on water and swelled so it
will never see T-molding again. He also has a cabin in the middle of
nowhere we go camping and shooing at. We are thinking of putting hinges on
the front plastic bezel and using it as a shelf in his cabin and leaving the
coin door as a place to lock handguns and ammo when kids are up with us.
(maybe a few magazines also, not the bullet kind)

The game wasnt defender anymore. Nothing was left of the original game.
It would cost to much to buy all the boards, control panel, artwork a
monitor,etc

I miss all the pictures people used to post of the games on fire.Anyone
still have any they can post. There's nothing like watching a classic game
burn.I love to see the look on a real collectors face when a game like Tron
get to about 1800 degrees.).They have a look of complete despair on their
face.I can't explain it.I just like it.<

I did that with an old Turbo cabinet. I couldn't sell the game, so I gutted
it and converted the cab. I cut the top off to make it more like a cabaret,
put in two shelves, and now it holds a 13" color TV and my Atari 2600. I
also put in two doors for controls and cartridges, with one being where the
coin door was and the other where the sub was.

Todd's a pretty funny guy. I enjoyed watching the video in it's
entirety, even the cut scenes. I enjoy doing business with them.
