I suddenly stopped being able to use my Internet Explorer (ver 6, Service
Pack 2 installed). When I try and open it (using various ways incl short
cuts, as well as directly thru "File Explorer" ), nothing seems to happen,
literally. The hourglass cursor appears briefly then disappears. BUT when i
logged in using a different user account login, I was able to open IE and
access the internet as per normal. HELP?!?! I am stuck for where to go now.

Sounds like your login is corrupt, try logging in as "administrator" and see
if that account is OK. You may need to copy your files to a safe place
delete the account and create a new one then copy files back again.

Neil - thx for response. I think the account that I am hacing the problem is
the administrator account. So can I just delete the administrator account and
recreate it?

No!

The "administrator" account is a system account. This is an account called
"administrator" and when you have other accounts set on your PC then it's
not visible. Are you sure you are not getting mixed up with an account with
administrator privileges.???

If it is the build in administrator account post back and I'll do a bit of
digging to see if you can repair it in any way.

best of luck

Neil
