Quadro2 Pro is meant for autocad but is faster the the geforce2 pro (not ultra)

the geforce2 is meant more for gamers (quadro2 is faster though but more game are meant for geforce driver wise now)

From what I have read, the Quadro is slightly better than the GeForce2, but it costs more money. But hey if you are willing to spend the money get a GeForce2 ultra which is top of the line. I just bought a new vid card, and the way I look at it is that GeForce2 GTS 32meg cards are really the best cards available when you consider price/performance ratio. I am getting my Asus V7700 deluxe in the mail tomorrow, and I'm sure it kicks ass. Only $223 with Video in/out. My friend just got his vision tek GF2 for $160, and it seems to be fine too.

There is an article about converting a GF2 into a quadro on the Overclocking-3D Chips board. Looks as simple as adding a surface mount resistor.
