In case anyone's been trying to contact us. I've got 100+ emails to
respond to (accumulated over a three day period), but I'll be slogging
through them over the next couple of days...

Turns out it's actually closer to 200 emails. Methinks the Christmas rush has begun
early this year...

emails are a part of this and most business...it seems like that many
emails could be sorted and responded to in as little as one hour. i
know i do that with my email at my actual job. what would be the point
of a post like this except stalling people that are expecting something
from you?

It's called being pro-active (although I hate using buzzwords). It takes me 30
seconds to post on RGVAC and keep a lot of people in the loop, and about 4
hours (spread out over a few days) to go thru that many emails. These aren't
"hi- howya doin" emails. Most of these require some real effort to answer
(correctly, at least). Since I can't devote 4 hours in one solid block to answering
emails (because people really *are* expecting something from me, and that takes
priority), this is how I keep folks aware that I haven't dropped off the face of the
earth.

Now you've gone and made me waste 5 minutes of my Sunday to explain this,
when I could've been fixing boards. Some folks actually get to take thier Sundays
off. Apparently they aren't having a Christmas rush ;-)

> wee little newsgroup with all us poor folk.:)).

You may look down your nose at the newsgroup and the people
who read it, but I don't. What *possible* motive would I have for making
it sound like I'm busier than I really am? So I can drive off potential
customers, and put myself out of business? Geesh.

I'm done with this thread...

Good one CDS.And your done with this thread ALEX.?.I think not.You know as
well as anyone you wish you had any type of busy Christmas season this
early. You seem to have plenty of time to defend your bullshit lies on
here.So if you were really as busy as you say you are.You wouldn't be
wasting time on here. Now go back and get your Shoe Shine kit.I need a shine
boy.:))

Anyone ever stop and think that the time to start selleing vids for
christmas sales both on ebay and in retail is not even a month away. So
all over the states there are about 4-500+ units easy that need board
work to get them up and running in time for the christmas sale. Perhaps
this caused a delay over there the last year or so and a lot of his
loyal repeat customers (alex has these) are trying to get things in
early this year.

Not to mention alex donates a lot of time to tech emails and support
that he doesn't have to. He also travels a lot. This is not his day
job.

Don't all the whiners usually bitch if thier email isn't returned
within 15 minutes? I think he did the right thing by not keeping
everyone in the loop that frequents the groups that may have an
unanswered contact up in the air. Doesn't darin @ phoenix and a lot of
other people do the same thing?

Quit wasting this mans time and let him go back to work. He doesn't
need you dragging his name through the mud for absolutly no reason. And
if he's got some unsatisfied customers out there; so be it. There is no
such thing as a 100% completly satisfied customer base. People do the
best they can around here and it's a LOT better then a corp would treat
you.

I can't even believe I'm participating in this.

Yea you have no problem with Alex, just call him a liar and move on
without any sort of apology. But then that's you isn't it.
