Stopped in at Triplett yesterday in Bluffton, Ohio. Ad in the paper
said they were looking for Electronic Component assemblers. So I
dropped everything, drove 15 miles to drop off a resume, being that
was right up my alley, and I wanted to tell 'em so.
Got to an old run-down brick building. The ceiling inside is
practically falling down around them with pieces of crust hanging
down.
There are two paned windows, of which 3 people walked by, not so much
as one of them even looked at me. I looked down at the window and
there were some applications. Well I guess I should just fill one
out. So about 15 minutes later I'm finished. Wait a bit. Look
around. Sign says 'Welcome'- like yea I really feel welcome here.
I spot a little plastic shelf that has a sticker on it that says put
applications here. Ok so I put it there.
After driving 15 miles and gas at 3.00 a gallon I was really hoping I
could do more than to have put something in the mail.
Ah-a phone. I look over the numbers. Human Resources. I dial and I
can hear it ringing at the other end with my other ear. For crying
out loud. No answer. Stop, look around, think of what to do next.
Look up another number. Administration - someone on the other end
picks up the phone and hangs it up after about 7 rings.
This is probably the first time I've ever just gotten so steamed as to
shred an application. But it took the fourth guy to just walk by the
window without so much as a glance. I ripped up my app and threw it
in their shelf.
Jerks. I don't have to work for them to see how they treat people.
I've made up my mind Triplett is not the brand I'll be even
considering. These people are absolute jerks!
A company that can't afford to hire a receptionist and has no time
to talk or even look at the public has no business even BEING in
business.
Anyone else had experiences like this?

They probably got a look at you and said just ignore him and maybe he will
just leave. "Zinfer" <rmassman@hotmail.com> wrote in message
