Both of these laptops are about $700. I was wondering which one was better overall. Since they're both relatively new/rare I've had trouble finding reviews.

Here's the ASUS :"]

Intel Core i5-3317U (1.7GHz), 6G DDR3, 1TB 5400 RPM + 24G SSD, Windows 8 (64 bit), Nvidia 635M 2G
Black, 15.6-Inch HD (1366x768), DL DVD±RW/CD-RW, 802.11BGN, HD Camera, Bluetooth 4.0, 4 Cell 2950 (5.4 Hours)
HDMI, Instant On, VGA port, LAN, 2x USB 2.0, 1x USB 3.0, 1x HDMI, SD only
4.6 lb, DIMENSION 14.9-Inch x 10.5-Inch x .83-Inch

Here's the LENOVO:"]

Intel Core i7-3520M (2.9 GHz)
HDD 750 GB 5400 rpm
RAM Size 8 GB
NVIDIA GeForce GT630M Discrete Graphics with 2 GB DDR3 VRAM

I can see the difference in processor is probably pretty significant but don't know if the Asus makes up for it with slightly better video card and SSD + HDD Combo.

Thanks for any feedback!

635m is almost identical to 630m according to benchmarks. Personally I'd go with the more powerful cpu and more memory, but it is all up to you. If you don't need the extra processing power of the Lenovo, then the Asus, having a combo HDD, is a good choice. See what your needs are and choose one based on them.

I personally would go with the lenovo.
