i am looking to buy my son a gaming laptop for xmas with a budget of 480 pound.would the geforce gt 620 to play most games black ops etc

I just responded to this earlier. Anyway. No, not really. The GeForce GT 620 is a mid level class 3 graphics card. It won't manage any of those games on low settings without lag or fps problems. You're going to have to spend more than 480 pounds for a gaming laptop.
