first off, sorry if this is the wrong forum, i wasnt exactly sure where to post this. anyways, my computer recently started acting up and wouldnt boot, so i decided to just format and install windows 7. i got through the installation, but after/towards the end of installation it restarted my pc, went to the windows 7 starting windows screen, and then my monitor just blanks out. ive checked to make sure everything is plugged in and whatnot, and im stuck on what to do. and help would be greatly appreciated.

Well it seems the hard drive was working enough for you to format it. It could also be that the graphics board is dead.

Having installed Windows 7 from scratch, I would say to make sure that the installer is LiveCD based. That means it doesn't use the hard drive.

You could try a lightweight Linux LiveCD to see if it has something to do with the windows 7 disk...
