ATI Xpert 2000 Pro

As a student with an overdraft I'm currently suffering from a four-year old graphics card. I'm not a gamer, but am looking for fast 2D and basic 3D support.
Any comments on the ATI (Windows 2000/ Linux Mandrake)?

I have noticed on one machine I built: Win 2000 A7V mb, 800mzh T-bird, 128 mb ram 45 gb Ibm 7200rpm drive, that every time the machine was turned on it will redetect the Video card, and I have not been able to figure out why.

Hmmm - the A7V/Tbird 800/128 MB matches my specs exactly.

Which BIOS revision is being used?
