I have a Dell latitude D610, running Windows XP. Problem is that when I
connect to some data projectors, my Windows applications start behaving
oddly. For example in Word and Excel the view (magnification) automatically
goes up to the maximum (eg 200%-500%), and when you try and manually re-set
it, it expands it again.

The problem only occurs when the laptop is connected to more sophisticated
media setups (ie it works fine when the data projector is plugged directly
into the laptop).

Dell said they have never heard of this problem, and their advice was to
re-install Windows - which I'm not sure is resolve antyhing.

Any help welcomed.
