Dear President Obama:

You are the thirteenth President under whom I have lived and unlike any of the others, you truly scare me.

You scare me because after months of exposure, I know nothing about you.

You scare me because I do not know how you paid for your expensive Ivy League education and your upscale lifestyle and housing with no visible signs of support.

You scare me because you did not spend the formative years of youth growing up in America and culturally you are not an American.

You scare me because you have never run a company or met a payroll.

You scare me because you have never had military experience, thus don't understand it at its core.

You scare me because you lack humility and 'class', always blaming others.

You scare me because for over half your life you have aligned yourself with radical extremists who hate America and you refuse to publicly denounce these radicals who wish to see America fail..

You scare me because you are a cheerleader for the 'blame America' crowd and deliver this message abroad.

You scare me because you want to change America to a European style country where the government sector dominates instead of the private sector.

You scare me because you want to replace our health care system with a government controlled one.

You scare me because you prefer 'wind mills' to responsibly capitalizing on our own vast oil, coal and shale reserves.

You scare me because you want to kill the American capitalist goose that lays the golden egg which provides the highest standard of living in the world.

You scare me because you have begun to use 'extortion' tactics against certain banks and corporations.

You scare me because your own political party shrinks from challenging you on your wild and irresponsible spending proposals.

You scare me because you will not openly listen to or even consider opposing points of view from intelligent people.

You scare me because you falsely believe that you are both omnipotent and omniscient.

You scare me because the media gives you a free pass on everything you do.

You scare me because you demonize and want to silence the Limbaugh's, Hannitys, O'Reillys and Becks who offer opposing, conservative points of view.

You scare me because you prefer controlling over governing.

Finally, you scare me because if you serve a second term I will probably not feel safe in writing a similar letter in 8 years.

-Lou Pritchett

Lou Pritchett is one of corporate America's true living legends - an acclaimed author, dynamic teacher and one of the world's highest rated speakers. Successful corporate executives everywhere recognize him as the foremost leader in change management. Lou changed the way America does business by creating an audacious concept that came to be known as "partnering." Pritchett rose from soap salesman to Vice-President, Sales and Customer Development for Procter and Gamble and over the course of 36 years, made corporate history.

This letter was sent to the NY Times but they never acknowledged it. Big surprise. Since it hit the Internet, however, it has had over 500,000 hits. Keep it going. All that is necessary for evil to succeed is that good men do nothing.. It's happening right now.

I laughed, it was only a few years ago these companies dropped the golden turd and the tax payer had to wipe it up.

Yeah, we know ALL and I mean ALL companies are just evil. Let's whip out that broad brush and paint away!

What does it feel like to be an idiot?

Politicians are pirates and Congress is the high seas.

30 years from now Bama will still be blaming Bush and anyone else that he can for his failures. That's what people in denial do. Ask any convicted criminal.

When Clinton was in power the USA dollar was worth 1.37 CND and just before BUSH left it was worth 87 cents ? Somebody dropped the ball and it wasn't Obama (he would never do that)

While all politicians are criminals IMO just ask yourself if you're better off today than when Bama took office?

The letter wasn't published because it is fear mongering in its purest form.

"You scare me because you falsely believe that you are both omnipotent and omniscient."

Hey Lou Pritchett, how do you know what Obama believes, unless YOU are omniscient. I get to read a bunch of bullshit from corporate CEOs but nothing recent has been so assuming and 'classless' as this.

When Clinton was President, terrorists tried to take down the World Trade Center in 1993. He did nothing. They bombed four of our Embassies in 1998. Clinton shoots a few cruise missiles at an empty office building in Baghdad and kills the janitor. In Oct. 2000 (Clinton still in office) the USS Cole is bombed in Yemen. Clinton is getting a Lewinsky in the oval office.

Emboldened by our complete lack of fighting spirit or even moderate response, Sept. 11, 2001 happens.

I'm will not even attempt to bring up the number of attacks in the 1980s.

You wonder why we are at war? Does your historical perspective begin at your birth? We've been at war since 1979. Or, more correctly, they've been at war with us. It will get worse, and it will never go away unless its dealt with.

Your only other option is to submit. And that is no option for me.

I wasn't just calling him a bigot. I was calling him deceptive and manipulative.

"You scare me because you did not spend the formative years of youth growing up in America and culturally you are not an American. "

You don't think it's bigotry to encourage Americans to be scared of Obama because he was born in Hawaii and spent a few years in Indonesia?

"Anyone calling anyone else a bigot is usually a bigot, since alot of the time, they simply dont know what bigotry is. "

I think you have a good point there.

Reagan brought the Soviet Union to it's knees without firing a bullet. Inspired the Eastern Bloc to "Tear down this wall!"
Reagan inherited a 12.5% inflation rate from predecessor Jimmy Carter. When he left office eight years later, it had dropped to 4.4%.
I never, EVER, heard Ronald Reagan blame another for his own shortcomings.

Please, we need another Ronald Reagan.

We give them weapons to kill each other, and when it becomes too uncomfortable and starts affecting our economy we try to go in as liberators and bomb their country, under the pretense of establishing democracy and ridding terrorists?

Terrorist leaders are sick, twisted fucks. But what gives them the leverage to brainwash and manipulate the people around them? Fear and hatred. Do you think these people will fear and hate us less after these wars?

You can't fight terrorism with invasion forces. You fight it in wars driven by intelligence. Our response to 9/11 was destructive and counter-productive. Our military strategy was weak and we went in with no intelligence. Military Leaders have said as much.

This is coming from someone who lived in New York during 9/11 and has many family members that served in the military.

The problem I see is, he has much more non American influence than any other recent president.
Hes had no one in business in his admin, and cottles Jeff Imhelt, with no taxation etc, where Mr Imhelt sends his jobs overseas, and thats his top business expert.
Why not someone making it work here?
Why not someone more attuned to America?
And yes, we need the American spirit now more than ever, and change either has to wait, or itll fail miserably, and will never be attempted again.
I remember just having Jackie Kennedy as first lady as an eye opener, and no, its not bigotry, and no, she wasnt in office, so it was overlooked.
Obama thinks an entity that makes nothing, takes everything it needs to exist, and has shown how faulty in real world business government is, as the hope for America, and yes, hes not only biased, but his core beliefs are of such things

"You fight it in wars driven by intelligence."

Bingo.

One good thing Bush did was to beef up our intelligence gathering capability and special operations forces. One of the only things I agree with Bush on.

This does not solve the state sponsored aspect of terror, and the widespread indoctrination and use of Hashishin.

Our top businesses send our jobs overseas, not just Mr Imhelt. At the end of the day, a corporation is going to (rightly so for the most part) make the decision which most benefits the company and pleases major shareholders, and outsourcing accomplishes this.

If you think our government does nothing, have fun without maintained roads or the USPS. Might as well get rid of government run public utilities too right?

There are some things that probably should be privatized, and many things that probably should not. Try to consider that solutions aren't all cut and dry. Capitalism could not exist without a government that (albeit it does a pretty bad job) upholds antitrust law.

How many Gov't utilities are there? Utilities, gas, power, coal: The electricity coming to your house are typically corporations(stockpayer, bondholders) which are closely controlled by the locality in which they generate power. These energy corps. are generally limited to the actual profit they can make. By the states!. Think about it. Next time there is a tornado, hurricane, flood or other natural disaster. Power goes out and everyone gets their panties in a twist. These people work HARD to bring us power. Don't like the power companys, buy a windmill or solar. Eat nuts and berries. "Racist...really??? Still playing that card? You know we can disagree with someone that doesnt look like who you are and not be racist. "

I really doubt you are reading anything that I write, but I wasn't calling him racist for disagreeing. I'm calling him a racist for painting Obama as the scariest human being since Adolph Hitler. Racism is deeply rooted and tied to xenophobia, or fear of people who are different (or look different), and this guy sounds scared shitless of Obama.

No way. He's a Psychologist. This involves talking about rats and dreams. Psychologists are obsessed with rats and dreams. I Know. I once spent an entire semester training a rat to punch little buttons in a certain sequence, then training my friend to do the same thing. The rat learned much faster. My friend is now a sociologist named gulli. You have probably heard of him. If you like rats or dreams, and above all if you dream about rats, you should major in psychology like this noob.

Bill is the master of contradiction and deceit. He does make the truth seem as lies, and lies seem as truth. He is, after all, the man who said "it all depends on what 'is' is". He claims that oral sex isn't sex, perjury isn't lying, and that cigars aren't for smoking. He even said that lying under oath is 'defending the Constitution'.

Are you Lou Pritchett? If not, I wasn't talking about you.

I don't normally get involved in these sort of discussions but Mr. Pritchett said something that bears absolutely no truth and I felt it necessary to clear this up.

"You scare me because you want to kill the American capitalist goose that lays the golden egg which provides the highest standard of living in the world."

The United States does not have the highest standard of living in the World and it hasn't for quite a number of years, long before President Obama and long before President Bush. Of course, there are those that will say that it depends on what factors you include in the list, so I calculated it several different ways and got different results, but the highest the US achieved was number four and the lowest was number thirteenth.

Number one on the list for the past several years is Norway thanks in large part to the brilliant way in which they handled their oil income. Australia frequents the number 2 spot.

+1

The US has been in decline in terms of average living standards relative to the rich western european countries since the 1970s. Reasons for this are many and disputed, but the decline and current status is not.

Norway is a great country to live in, not very productive outside of natural resources, but definitely a much safer place to live and easy to get rich (even with the odd mad man on occasion).

The Strength of the US lays in its system and its drive of creativity and innovation, any power wishing to rival its superiority needs to better it in these areas.

I am surprised Gulli is not responding? Badge,( or Vadge, according to mingo), has awakened and is roaming the Forum.

None of you have an idea what is going on. No one in this country has a clue: Obama, Pelosi, Reid, Boehner, Palin, Bachmann, Gingrich, Cain, McCain, Perry, Romney, Bushie Jr & Sr., Clinton, Gore, the Flying Spaghetti monster, The top-middle-and low class Americans: All have no clue what is going on or what to do. We have essentially killed of a Capitalist society with stupidity; and there is no cure for this disease. I even confess to stupidity. Look, if we are going to fix this nation, we need to work together. Now, I am not making this post an 'Obama message' post, but we do need to unite. It seems to me that there must be a drive for a better America. I do not see that. I fail to see the American people going out and changing the USA. Everyone says we must do something, but no one does it? What is this Tom-Foolery? Must we allow ourselves to be served, or shall we take advantage of a Capitalist society and do something.

Gamer pointed out to me that Capitalism is about taking chances. Why are we not taking chances for a better Future? For we are scared of an uncertain future? I thought that what is was. An uncertain future to drive us to be better. To be better does not mean we have to scale a mountain in one step, but to leap over each hole; to march to the top. We have so much given to us by our forefather, we abuse it and allow any social class: Weather it be a body of 'greedy men', or a body of' totalitarian extremists'. Why must you allow this. If it is forbidden in your eyes, why do you say such harmful things to others? Why don't you gather together with those who may disagree with you?

Unite. United We Stand. Divided We Fall. Abraham Lincoln had that concept in mind. Would he allow this nation and its people to be divided? I say 'No'! Would Washington fight for the future generations if he knew political stalemates were to be a byproduct of division of men and the corruption of ideologies? I say 'No'! Would Teddy and FDR allow their cousins of this nation to be so hateful to each other and resent their neighbor? I say 'No'! Would Kennedy allow these thing to be allowed because what we do is easy? I say 'No'! Would Regan expedite any system that would arbitrarily allow a total failure, even if he knew the future. I say 'No'! Would Clinton, Bush and Obama allow this nation to fall because of ideology? I leave that up to you.

We the People are failing this nation. We see Presidential Candidates a celebrities. Watching our televisions for the next great drama for so-and-so. Why must we tolerate this? Why must I live with others who have stupidity? Why has God placed me here? These are questions that will never be answered.

I have many other questions.

Why do you think you are right? Who told you, you were 'right'? Who gave you the provisions to allow thought to be set free upon others who do not think like you? Does that make them wrong? Are they a lower life-form than you? Do you feel shame that you are not dong anything for your nation because you forbid the 'other' form collecting the same benefits? I am not saying Socialism, but good-will to each other. Why must I witness you destroy my home, place and future for me and my family, while you go around screwing everyone? I am sick of all of you for destroying America. I am sick of wasting my time listening to 'both sides of the aisle'. I want to hear each person of this great nation, not just ideology.

If you won't change America, you are allowing the government to change it for you.

Think about that.
