Radeon Problems

I just bought a Radeon which I thought was great untill I tried it on Half Life and GTA2.

In half life, when under water, there are diagonal lines every where and it looks as if the colour depth has been reduced. Everything else in half life is fine.

In GTA2 the words in the menus flicker and once playing, the whole screen flickers and runs VERY slow.

Quake 3, Unreal and every other game I've tried work fine. I've used all th drivers I could find, the one on the CD, latest of ATI web and the special one as well.

Anyone experiencing similar problems or not experiencing similar problems?

Setup:
Win 2000
AMD750 chipset
Radeon 64MB DDR VIVO

Just remembered something else. On ATIs own demo which came on the CD (radeons ARK), the display flickers and the sequence seems to restart prematurely.

I'm in the process of buying Radeon AIW myself... man, after I've seen all the other flame-posts about it, I'm glad at least one person has had a -somewhat- pleasant (or at least workable) experience:)
Maybe I'll sleep easier at night now:)

It's a great card. Great feature set, over 30fps at 1200x1600 on Q3 demo001 and thats on a Old athlon 550 with pc100 ram. When I upgrade to aroung a 1GHz or where ever the price jump is at the time and DDR ram, whats the point in a faster card. Do you really need over 40fps?

heh... I remember playing flight sims on my Cyrix 586-100Mhz, 16MB RAM, Win95... Jetfighter III at 640x480 had less than 5 frames per second:)
I'll take the 30, thanx:)
