GeForce2 on Be6-2 - video suspends at bad times

I just installed a Visiontek GeForce2 GTS in my BE6-2/Cel566 system, and I'm having a problem with 3D games or even the splash screens and intros for these games. What happens, is the video cuts out and the monitor goes into suspend mode.
I've tried formatting and re-installing WinME after a CMOS reset, I've tried all kinds of different BIOS settings, I've tried different drivers -- nothing helps at all. I had the same problem with a CL Geforce Annihilator I replaced with the GeForce2. I can't remember how I fixed it that time.

Has anyone else had this kind of problem? What should I do???!?!?!

Visiontek GeForce2 GTS
Abit BE6-2
Cel 566 - overclocked or not - no difference
SBLive! Value
Maxtor 60 Gig
Everything else: Generic

Thanks - Ozerik

This is a shot in the dark, but have you tried to disable the monitor suspend in the power management area of the control panel in your windows? You've probably already tried this, tho. Good Luck, Take-Out.

What's the monitor? If it's lower end monitor you could be kicking past it's scan rate and it might send itself to sleep to keep from becoming toasty. Not too likely however unless it's really old or you're trying to run at higher than 1280x1024
