More Information

I read the article in the website titled "Professional Affair: OpenGL Graphics Cards Compete" and the recommendation are cards that cost around $1000. I am a student at the moment so even a card that costs around a $1000 is a bit much. My question is whether or not a card such as the ELSA Gladiac Ultra could handle running Alias|Wavefront's Maya? The manufacturer say's that the card supports Open GL. Would this or any other highend consumer gaming card be able to run Maya, and if so at the same pace as a professional Open GL graphics card?
