RADEON PROTECTION ERROR

Anyone knows how to install correctly the Radeons cards, i Have the vivo and with Win95, 98SE and ME it always gives me the windows protection error after installing the basic drivers, latest one and special purpose on KX mother board, Apollo pro and amd chipset, the only way i was able to make it run was by installing the glsetup and let it install the 3.12.3054

How did you say you fixed that problem? I am having the exact same problem with Windows 98 and my Radeon system which I built over the weekend. I am trying to get in touch with ATI about this problem too. I'll let you know if they provide me with a solution.

Install glsetup at www.glsetup.com, it will install the driver version .3054 and it should work.

oddly enough I had the same problem but it went away on its own! I got the windows protection error (w/ win98). I then shut down the computer, booted in safe mode and then shut down again. After that everything worked fine. I didn't make any changes in safe mode btw.

What motherboard do you have? And what drivers are you running currently?

Did you actually "Shut Down" or "Restart?"

How long has it been since this problem has disappeared.
